Micro Hair Extensions (Strand-By-Strand)

Our professional hair extensions are applied using the traditional, yet highly sophiscticated strand-by-strand system, whereby the hair extensions are applied using individual strands. Here, a few fine strands of extension hair are taken and attached to the client's hair by applying a tiny bead of liquid resin to the tip of the extension and fusing it to the natural hair. The resin is gently rolled to form a hard, cylindrical micro bond or 'seal'. Please note, that this is NOT glue, but a specially formulated polymer bonding resin specifically developed for hair extensions, and is completely safe, non-toxic and 100% non-damaging to the natural hair. This technique of applying lots of fine individual strands creates a free-flowing hairstyle that falls and behaves like real hair, giving it an authentic, natural look. It also allows the scalp to be able to ‘breath’, as it is not obstructed by heavy weaves or other bulky types of hair extensions.

Micro Bonds

The hair extension bonds are approximately the size of a grain of rice, making them both extremely comfortable and discrete. Many people think that they will be very conscious of their hair extensions, when in fact most clients find that they can barely feel them in their hair and that they feel very much like their own hair.

Unlike some alternative strand-by-strand hair extensions systems, we do not use pre-bonded hair extensions. Every bond is custom made during the application, allowing for a precise choice in the size and weight of each hair extension, which will vary according to the area of the scalp and the client’s natural hair type. It also allows the ability to blend more than one colour into each extension where needed. This creates an overall more natural look.

Cutting & Blending

Once the application is complete, the hair extensions are cut, styled and carefully blended with your own hair, so that they look perfectly natural and completely undetectable.

Placement of Hair Extensions

The hair extensions are positioned carefully and strategically around the head, ensuring that they remain completely undetectable and blend with the natural hair. An inch gap is left around the hairline, so that you can wear your hair up and the joins will not be seen.

The bonds are placed approximately 1cm from the scalp and sit completely flat to the head, enabling your own hair to continue growing freely and naturally without any disruption.

Hair Extensions For Short Hair

We specialise in hair extensions for short hair. We can apply hair extensions to virtually any type of hair style. Even if you have incredibly short hair with cropped layers we can still fit hair extensions and blend them perfectly with your own hair, without leaving a tell tale ‘lid’ or 'shelf' around the top of the head. The shorter and thicker your natural hair, the longer the procedure will be, as initially there is no length to work with, therefore more individual extensions are needed in order to blend with your own hair. The application required will be more than the average Full Head, as essentially a new hair style will be created from scratch. However, the end result can be quite remarkable and incredibly natural looking.

Non-Damaging Hair Extensions

Our highly developed application system is extremely safe and non-damaging to the natural hair. Each strand is very fine and is attached to an equal section of the natural hair based on a weight for weight ratio. This makes each hair extension very light, and avoids overloading the natural hair with too much weight, which therefore prevents causing tension on the root of the hair. Hair extensions should never damage your hair if they have been applied correctly.

We pride ourselves on our ability to expertly blend and match your hair colour precisely. You may also choose to have additional colours to create highlights or lowlights. Every set of hair extensions is uniquely tailored to your exact requirements.

Please note: We do not apply hair extension weaves, braided extensions, sewn-in hair extensions, glue-in wefts, wefted hair extensions, pre-bonded hair extensions, cold fusion hair extensions, shrinkies or micro ring hair extensions. We only apply our custom tailored micro bond, strand-by-strand hair extensions as we simply believe them to be the best.
